CONFIRMED: DIARMUID GAVIN TO APPEAR AT THE 2008 HOME & GARDEN SHOW
Celebrity gardener Diarmuid Gavin has announced that he will be giving a series of Main Stage talks at next year’s Home & Garden Show.
Diarmuid, who starred in the BBC’s hugely popular Home Front alongside Laurence Llewelyn Bowen has a reputation as a maverick of the gardening world. However, with several award-winning garden designs and a number of very successful TV series under his belt it seems that fashion has finally caught up with Diarmuid Gavin.
Following the success of his talks at this year’s show, Diarmuid will be appearing on the Main Stage at the 2008 Home & Garden Show on 30th and 31st May.
He commented: “I love coming to shows like this. It’s great to see what other gardeners are doing and it’s nice to come to an event at such a great venue.”

GROSVENOR GARDEN CENTRE TO SPONSOR THE 2008 HOME & GARDEN SHOW
We are delighted to announce that The Grosvenor Garden Centre (one of our key sponsors for 2007) will be sponsoring an even bigger area of the Home & Garden Show for 2008. This year they will also be showcasing a range of plants and products for green-fingered visitors to purchase throughout the weekend.

NEXT YEARS DATES
The Home & Garden Show at Chester Racecourse has been hailed a success by Chester Race Company chief executive Richard Thomas.
He said: “We were delighted with the event. We’re deliberately quite selective about which events we choose to host as they have to be appropriate for the Racecourse.”
Highlights of the show included Diarmiud Gavin’s gardening talks, TV chef Simon Rimmer’s live cookery demonstrations and BBC presenter Sarah Walker’s talks on selling your home.
‘For the first event of this kind held at the racecourse it was absolutely fabulous!” says Stuart Mears, Managing Director for the show. “The various people that I spoke to over the course of the weekend had only praise for the show, the venue and the weather, the latter we had to bring in specially for this weekend! This show is destined to go from strength to strength and my colleagues and I are currently planning the next, and we have lots of fresh ideas too.’
Hundreds of you voted for your favourite room sets and show gardens and many choose to take advantage of the free advice we had on offer from garden designers, interior designers and architects who were on hand throughout the three days.
Plans have already started to make next years event bigger and better so keep checking back for more information as we have it.
The next Home and Garden Show is taking place on 30th May – 1st June 2008, so put that date in your diary, you really don't want to miss out!
